The conference, sponsored by the Center, the Roth Institute for the Study of Antisemitism and the AJC, dealt with the relationship between the American and the Israeli Jews today.

The findings of a survey conducted by AJC among Jewish communities in the United States were presented in the conference. The survey examined the views and feelings of the American Jews regarding Israel and the role Israel plays in construction of their Jewish identity. The participants of the panel discussed the relationships between United States and Israel during the Trump era, anti-Semitism in the United States, and Israel's role in preserving and strengthening Jewish heritage among the American Jews.

The DataScience Project:
A Ph.D. student from the Department of History at Tel Aviv University presented the findings of his study of Israel's image in Jewish-American magazines and newspapers. He concluded that Israel is mostly represented as a "Downer" and the news about it are mainly connected to "negative events".

The interview was conducted by a journalist Attila Somfalvi on occasion of Prof. Yossi Shain's book publication - "The Israeli Century". Prof. Shain presented the argument from his new book. He claims that Israel, as a result of economic, military and political empowerment, has become the center of the Jewish world life and that negation of the Jewish sovereignty today is an unthinkable option.
