Miranda studied Film and Theater Studies at UC Irvine. She attended the program in the 2017/2018 academic year focusing on political approaches to conflict resolution. She stayed an additional year to write her thesis on Model UN as a vehicle for social change. In 2019, Miranda started working for the US Department of State in San Francisco.
