Tanu's path
Tanu Mehta worked as an advocate in the Bombay High Court. After a few years, Tanu decided to take a break from work and advance her career by developing her skills in negotiations and mediation. By studying in the International Program in Conflict Resolution and Mediation, she was better able to understand the root causes of conflict and at the same time, develop her negotiation and mediation skills. Tanu was inspired by the courses in Negotiations and the Mediation Workshop that helped her perfect her skills and provided her with a certificate from Tel Aviv University in International Mediation. At the same time, she built her knowledge in the understanding of deep-rooted conflicts by taking courses in Decision Making in Conflict, International Law, and Leadership Skills. After completing her MA at TAU, she returned to India and now uses mediation as a professional mediator and conciliator to aid conflicting parties in avoiding court proceedings. Tanu has independently handled over 250 cases in her community dealing with constitutional law, human rights, land development and regulation matters, matrimonial appeals, and copyright infringement.
