Ruth Dassonneville of the Université de Montréal is an exceptionally influential scholar of voter behaviour and elections. Her 2023 OUP book looks at how vote choice changes under conditions of increasing electoral volatility, and is especially relevant for our current political environment. She is the current Canada Research Chair in Electoral Democracy, the current editor of the British Journal of Political Science, and an associate editor of Electoral Studies.
